Greetings!
With temperatures in the 90's you would never know it is autumn! Crazy temperatures for September so let's look forward to October and November--nicer weather and a new schedule for the sewing school. Many classes in the beginner category remain the same. I always offer a class in the intermediate/advanced categories.
October/November brings us the Core Class, the Shirt. Good for men or women, the details included give you a gorgeous, professional garment. I love making mine out of baby wale corduroy, large enough to wear like a casual jacket--a good look with jeans.
Field trips are on the horizon this fall. Check out the list of activities and see if you can join us.
Our open house this year features an exhibit of sample garments from our classes. Come and see these garments and see what you too can accomplish with some help from our classes. We try to rotate different classes throughout the year to help students with changing schedules.
Open House
Sunday, September 22nd
3:00-5:00
Come see our samples and the garments that went to the State Fair!
See you Sunday!
Hugs,
Marguerite

The back of this shirt is pleated into a self-lined yoke with forward shoulder seams and a narrow hem. The fit will be perfect and the finishes will be professional. All of these details will eliminate the "loving hands at home" touch. Make this for yourself or a loved one. Take your sewing to the next level.

August Field Trip Report
A group of students joined Ms. Debbie and me for lunch at J. Alexanders on our day off from school. After a delightful lunch, we went over to the
Bernina Sewing Station to shop together. Bernina has a wonderful assortment of cotton fabrics that compliment and coordinate with each other. These cottons can be used for clothing, quilting or creative projects. Everyone went home with fabric and an assortment of new sewing tools. Linda Miller was the lucky winner of the door prize given by the school.
