Historic Women's March: How to turn energy into action
The Women's March was the largest one-day rally in American history. Based on news reports from cities around the country, 4.5+ million marched together, in unity, but with various purposes and meanings. Many of the issues - immigrant rights, access to health care, protection for violence, access to reproductive health services, healthy environments, equity, and religious tolerance all impact the health and well-being of young adults. While the March has sparked controversy, unveiled challenges in different movements and fostered partisanship, we think that it has also rekindled a spirit of engagement, conversation and activism. It is our hope that we can work together to build a beloved community that seeks to learn from our differences and elevate the health and wellness of ALL young adults in our country.
Did you march? Tweet us your photos @PCHHC! Above: @S_Verbiest and @AStuebe in Raleigh (on their day off of course)
