A twice-monthly summary of news and events,
for the people of the
Episcopal Churches of West Missouri
It's Annual Convention time

Let's be honest, if you don't take an interest in the annual convention or the work of the deanery and diocesan councils, you can't complain about how things are done. It's pretty much that simple. It's also very simple to pitch in and take part. You can start by learning about how the diocese is governed and by watching the 2021 convention take place.

The convention will be live on social media, starting with Evensong on Friday, November 5. Saturday, November 6, will start with the convention Eucharist and ordination, followed by the business session. You can watch it all happen here.
We'll be back with the next New Spirit Update on Thursday, November 11, with a round-up of what happened.

Over the past few weeks, Bishop Diane Bruce, nominee to serve as the Bishop Provisional of West Missouri, has participated in several “get-acquainted” online meetings with members of the diocese.

Attending Annual Convention online? This year's Annual Convention will be taking place in English and Spanish, and we've updated the online check-in process. We'll show you how to ensure your voice is heard and make your votes count at our first hybrid convention. Even if you are a Zoom expert please come along, as we will not have the time or resources to handle lots of technical queries on Saturday, November 6.
Please join us for a light reception to honor the service of The Rt. Rev. Martin & Donna Field and The Rev. Dr. Steven & Mary Rottgers. The reception will be held in Founders’ Hall, following Evensong at 6 p.m.
The 132nd Annual Convention of The Diocese of West Missouri is quickly approaching and we’re looking forward to seeing you, whether in-person or online, very soon!
