NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION
Since 2019, the Redwood City Library Foundation (RCLF) has been fundraising to create a Makerspace in the Downtown Library and has raised over $420,000 to make that happen. The Makerspace opened to the public in March of 2022, and since then over 5,000 children and adults have attended hundreds of classes and programs. Library staff and volunteers lead programs such as sewing, podcasting, 3D printing, art salons, drop-in tech help, coding, robotics and MUCH more.
Last month the Foundation hosted a reception to celebrate the Makerspace's first anniversary. We would never have reached this milestone without the community's generous support. Help us expand programming and keep supplies flowing in the Makerspace by donating to RCLF. Thank you for making this valuable community resource a reality for Redwood City!
