Your friends at Wycliffe Canada
Meet Leigh!
Wycliffe Canada is pleased to introduce Leigh McGough, our new Vice President of Development! Leigh joined the team in late August, and has a deep passion for the Bible translation movement.

Access to education, the Gospel, and Scripture have been central to Leigh's career in the Christian non-profit sector and his pastoral work in the past. He believes in the power of God’s Word and the local church to change lives. This vision plays an essential role in his calling as a follower of Jesus.

Leigh and his wife, Samantha, have two sons, aged 11 and 13. The McGough family is originally from the UK, and they relocated to Canada in 2017. On weekends, you’ll find them hiking, paddle boarding in the summer, or relaxing at home. They reside in Walnut Grove, Langley, and attend Living Waters Church in Fort Langley.

Leigh looks forward to engaging with our partners across Canada who are committed to seeing lives impacted by Bible translation. He knows wholeheartedly that supporters like yourself make it possible for others to experience Christ and His Gospel.

Stay tuned for Bible translation updates from Leigh in the future!

  • Growing in Prayerfulness Together 2022-2023
Wycliffe Canada’s Prayer Ministries team offers different training modules on prayer called Growing in Prayerfulness Together. The next module is coming up on November 24 at 3:00 MT - praying through a narrative of Scripture. Our desire is that these modules will give us the opportunity to practice praying together and equip you to grow in your prayer life–inwardly, upwardly, and outwardly. We hope to increase our confidence in how we pray, so that as we listen to God and develop our relationship with Him, we are better able to pray for our homes, neighbors and the world. All sessions will be offered via Zoom for approximately one hour. It is important to register ahead of time to receive the link for the sessions. Please register below.
  • Join us for World Day of Prayer on November 10!
Bible translation is so much more than a task; it is a ministry that results in transformation by God's Spirit and through the prayers of the Church. In November of each year, Wycliffe Canada along with different Bible translation partners make a special effort to come together across organizations in prayer. Please join us!

This will be a hybrid meeting event held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 12-1 pm MT.

Prayer partners in Vancouver will be meeting at the CanIL Harvest Centre, 22500 University Drive Langley, BC Room 208. Wycliffe Canada and any other prayer partners in Calgary will be meeting at the Wycliffe Canada Calgary office at 4316 10 St NE in the Townsend Room.

Introducing TIPs
As Bible translation moves forward around the world, what does each unique language have to teach us about God? TIPs is a resource that allows you to discover Bible translation insights and perspectives from languages across the globe. Each language has a particular capacity to communicate biblical messages that other languages cannot.
