Many of you have asked, so we thought we'd answer!...
The MCPL staff is often asked why we continue to wear masks while vaccinated. We remain masked while working in the library not only to protect ourselves from breakthrough infections but also to provide comfort and safety to our public. We realize that many people are unable to receive a vaccine for health reasons and because, as in the case of children under the age of 12, some are currently unable to be vaccinated due to their age. In order to create and maintain a safe, healthy, and relaxed library experience for all, we have decided to keep this safety protocol in place.
It's one small thing that we can do.
