STL101 is back!

January's STL101 presenter is Emma Klues from Great Rivers Greenway, a regional public agency focused on making the St. Louis region a more vibrant place to live, work, play and visit by connecting the region with greenways where you can walk, run or ride a bike. Emma will highlight current projects and ways you can get involved including helping to name a current city project.

STL101 is a monthly program offered by the St. Louis Mosaic Project that brings together St. Louis newcomers, natives, and internationals for an evening of connecting, socializing, and learning. STL101 is held every last Tuesday of the month. It is free to attend and light refreshments are provided.

Key Mosaic Updates

Commerce Bank hosted the Inaugural Meeting of Mosaic Ambassador Companies on January 15. More than 40 associates from twenty different Mosaic Ambassador Companies attended the meeting to discuss what STL businesses can do to be more welcoming for foreign born professionals seeking work.

Our first Steering Committee of 2020 was held on January 8th at the World Trade Center St. Louis office. Along with key Mosaic updates, participants heard from Ramon Ligabo, who is currently working as a consultant for Mosaic Ambassador Company, LUZCO Technologies, after participating in Mosaic's Professional Shadowing Program.

Mosaic's St. Louis International Spouse Meetup Group now has 450 members representing 70 countries. The International Mentoring Program kicked off two new cohorts of 10 each which brings the number of mentors & mentees overall to nearly 200.

Food & Fashion Focus for 2020. Mosaic's Immigrant Entrepreneurs Program will focus on these two areas, where we have seen growth in the local foreign-born community. In February, we'll host a panel and Meetup to highlight community resources available to help start or grow a food or fashion-related business. Stay tuned!
