Yoga for Beginners with

If you or anyone you know are brand new to yoga and would like to learn the basics, this is the course for you!
 
During this four week course, we will work through a complete sequence that includes all the basic postures and common transitions that feature in the classes here at Be-yoga. The course will also include a taster of a different styles of yoga offered here at Be including Restorative, Yin and Yoga Nidra (guided meditation).

Class numbers are kept small to allow for individual attention and to find any modifications that may be helpful. There will be time for questions to be asked and answered. The room is gently heated to give students an introduction to the practice of hot yoga.

On completion of this course students will have greater confidence and a good grounding in their yoga practice.

Yoga for Anxiety & Depression
with Yoga Therapist Bryony Hamerton
 
We can all experience a low mood or have anxious thoughts from time to time, during stressful periods of life we can become vulnerable to these feelings and then they become a problem.
 
Join us in the second instalment of the Anxiety and Depression workshops where we will focus on breath work and relaxation. We will also discuss how the brain changes during depression and how we can use yoga to make positive changes for healing and growth.
The breath practices in therapeutic yoga can increase energy levels and change the way we use our oxygen in the body and the brain. Deep relaxation is supremely healing for those of us who live with anxiety and depression, we will experience a relaxing sequence which you can take home with you to use in your weekly routine.

Deconstructing Vinyasa

Senior teacher Bryony will take you through the ancient art of Vinyasa yoga were we will explore the component parts of the classical Surya Namaskar and discover options and modifications to suit you, wherever you are in your practice.

Restorative Yoga with Nidra and Sound

Join us for an immersive experience, using yoga and sound to unravel the effects of our busy everyday lives.

Kate and Josie will guide you to a deeply relaxed state in which the body's incredible capacity for healing and repair can work at its best.
 
Whether you're recovering from illness or injury, need a break from ongoing stress, or simply want to give yourself two hours of complete rest and relaxation, this workshop is for you. 
 
Beginning with a gentle restorative yoga practice with hands-on assists and massage, we then take your mind on a journey through yoga nidra (yogic sleep). To further deepen your relaxation we place Tibetan singing bowls on the body, and use vocal toning and other sacred instruments to allow the vibrations to soothe body and mind. We close with some group chanting (optional) and a cup of tea.This session is suitable for all, everyone is welcome.Please advise us if you are pregnant, have a pace-maker or an abnormal heart rhythm so that we can adjust your session accordingly.
