To mark the 10 th anniversary of our
“Spread the Light” appeal, we invite each donor during the campaign to stop by the food bank to pick up your own three-dimensional, 24-inch-wide star lantern to display at your home or business. 
Donations may be made in person at the food bank, or by mailing a check payable to the CSCW, PO Box 585, Woodbury CT 06798. Donations also may be made online through the PayPal portal on the CSCW web page on the Town of Woodbury website.
Please be sure to include your memorial and honorary dedications.

Sign up for our ADULT Summer Reading, a summer reading program just for grownups, because, really, why should kids have all the fun? We have no specific lists for you this summer, we just encourage you to read what interests you and perhaps read a little bit outside of your box! We are always here with suggestions for you.
The summer reading program runs June 22 – August 7, 2020.
This Summer read whatever you’d like:
one book = one ticket entered to win a $100 gift certificate to the WOODBURY BUSINESS of your choice! Make sure you hand in your log
(you don’t need to fill it out – each book listed counts as one chance to win the gift certificate. Don’t miss our weekly Facebook challenge , too.

July 7: "The Artist, Illness and Creativity"
with Dr. Vincent
de Louise  
Dr. de Louise will discuss the brain science of creativity, how illness affects creativity in music and art, with focus on Monet, Degas, Goya, Mary Cassatt and Georgia O’Keeffe and their paintings and how visual loss created what we see as their genius.

July 14: Marine Litter: Artist Talk with Photographer Sarah Jane Thornington
Last year, Sarah started thinking about the sheer quantity of marine debris she was collecting on the beach and then either recycling or discarding and started to document her finds. She was aiming to pick up1,825 pieces of plastic for the year. After just 3 weeks, she’d more than surpassed that goal. Make sure to see Sarah’s photographs & artwork inspired by her recycling project in the Library’s Gallery Space.

July 21: Let’s Talk Library with Director Sue Piel
Join Sue for a fun and informative session about what has gone in in the library over the past three “closed” months, what are our plans for the future? What’s new and exciting in the book world, any questions you may have, and…. a trivia quiz for library lovers!

July 28: DIY Kombucha with the Grounded Goodwife                                                                                                                                      Learn how to make your own kombucha and about the importance of adding fermented foods to your diet with the fabulous Grounded Goodwife team.
