Oxnard Leadership energized by final session of 2019
Who are the people, businesses and organizations powering Oxnard into the future? For their final session of 2019,  Oxnard Leadership Program  participants spent "Energy Day" meeting industry experts to learn about local energy sources and how Oxnard residents and businesses will be impacted in the near future. 

City of Oxnard to present a free lecture on the future of mobility

The City of Oxnard will welcome Jessica Robinson, President and Executive Director of the Michigan Mobility Institute, for a special lecture on November 13 about how the future of mobility will impact driving, traffic and parking, as well as jobs, local sales tax, and land-use. The lecture is free but you must register.

Chamber votes to oppose five proposed ballot measures

The Oxnard Chamber's Board of Directors and Political Action Committee have both voted to oppose five local measures currently being circulated for signature gathering in our community.

  1. Chamber leadership and Oxnard city management toured Nutrien AG Solutions as part of our Business Visits program to help government understand challenges local businesses face. 
  2. Attended the launch party for Visit Oxnard at Copper Blues, marking the official renaming of the Oxnard Convention and Visitors Bureau.
  3. Convened with the Chambers of Commerce Alliance of Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties Executive Committee to plan a trip to Washington D.C. in May 2020.
  4. Provided networking opportunities at a multi-chamber mixer in honor of the 40th anniversary of Paradise Chevrolet.
  5. Met with staff of the city’s wastewater division to get an update on changes to discharge limits. City staff will be meeting with stakeholders in November.
