While many businesses have struggled during the pandemic, those owned by people of color have been especially impacted. Last year these communities had a major drop in business ownership that dipped far lower than the national average. For business owners along South Federal's Little Saigon District in Denver, COVID had left them inching towards closure as well. But because a number of community organizations stepped up by providing several resources to improve the entire business district, this unique marketplace has managed to stay afloat. Thanks to the help of organizations like The Denver Streets Partnership and the West Denver Renaissance Collaborative, these businesses now have the momentum to help them weather the pandemic's economic downturn.
