We are preparing Buddy Bags for the upcoming Fall break! We are collecting and packing food for 110 Buddy Bags. 90 bags will go to students at Clearwater Elementary, Eastwood Middle, and Northview Middle Schools. In addition, we have the opportunity to partner with the Washington Township Early Learning Center and provide 20 bags for students. Sign up in the narthex this Sunday, September 20, for food donations, monetary contributions, and to help pack and deliver the bags.
Each bag of food costs approximately $35.00. Monetary contributions may be given at the sign-up table, placed in the offering plate or mailed to the church with a designation of “Buddy Bags,” or made by giving online (choose Buddy Bags from the pull-down menu on the designation line).
Please have your food donations to the church narthex by Sunday, September 27. If you are interested in helping to shop for any remaining items, let Loveta or Sue know. We will be packing and delivering the bags on Tuesday, September 29 at 9:30am. Come and join us! Contact Loveta Cain (tlc6383@comcast.net), Janet Spaulding (janetmspaulding@gmail.com), or Sue York (nsyork@att.net) with questions.

This year's game will be at 3pm on Sunday, October 18th at Lawrence Central High School. It's a very laid back and fun affair, so if you're wanting to be a part of it please mark your calendars.

CONCERNS
- Mike McDonald had a very positive week in his recovery from heart surgery. He is now out of the ICU and into a regular hospital room, with rehab being the next step in his healing journey.
- Mary Caress has also been in the hospital this week due to an illness, but well on the mend. She should be discharged soon for rehab as well.
- Tim Escue is in the hospital due to a serious infection. We want to lift him up to God as he bounces back from this unexpected illness.
- Brock McCracken is asking our community to pray for his mother, Carolyn, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. While the prognosis is pretty good, she is facing surgery later this month and navigating all that comes with anticipating that.
- As always, we pray for all those in our community facing physical, mental health, family, and financial challenges. We specifically want to pray for Liz Adkins, Don Burrell, Linda Downey, Sue Feltner, Martha Hofer, and Curtis McCollister.
-
Our Global Ministries prayer partner this week is Haiti.
