First turns of the season! My family is very excited to be back on skis!

Amy

For the first time in more than a decade, my only brother was able to visit Alaska and joined our mom for a Thanksgiving visit (pictured with me and my daughter). Of course, it was a grand time with family, and I somehow successfully gave my mom and mother-in-law a break from holiday cooking!

"The Unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic"

By Breanne Randall

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finding Yourself | Family | Love & Loss | Magic

About the book: Sadie Revelare has always believed that the curse of four heartbreaks that accompanies her magic would be worth the price. But when her grandmother is diagnosed with cancer with only weeks to live, and her first heartbreak, Jake McNealy, returns to town after a decade, her carefully structured life begins to unravel. Read more!

Raegan's review: Practical Magic meets Gilmore Girls is such an accurate way to describe this book! It gave me ALL the cozy mystery vibes while still being humorous and lighthearted. I loved how realistic the family and small town dynamics were. It was so easy to get invested in Sadie’s story because it felt real. I 10/10 recommend giving this a read if you’re looking for a quick fall read with feel good vibes, a sprinkle of magic, and of course some small town romance.

Jalapeno Bacon Cheeseburger Mac

This recipe is sure to make your mouth water! Heather adds French fried onions and parmesan to the top and throws it in the oven for a few minutes.

Make it at home!

Let's give a warm welcome to Esther, our new chief community impact officer! Esther brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role and we are confident that she will be a valuable asset to our team as we continue to innovate and grow. Her first day was yesterday, Nov. 29, and will be occupying office 225, between Elizabeth and Robin.

Here's a throwback of some Halloween fun that we forgot to include in the last issue of The Buzz! We had an all-staff party in the breakroom—complete with pizza, candy, prizes, and an Alaska-themed costume contest! Pictured, from left, are Jaye, Kelsey Allrich, Amy, Dani, Tracy and Jessica.

Do you have a photo or recommendation to share?

Please send it to Ahliil for inclusion in the next issue of The Buzz!
