Hello Theatre Friends,
I am so excited that in 2023 Theatre Collingwood will present so many great storytellers and I know you'll be delighted. The office is buzzing these days with excited patrons purchasing their tickets and with all of us working hard to get everything ready for a great year of theatre!
March will be here before we know it, and with that comes our March Break Drama Camp. More info about that is below.
In the spring, we'll have more programs for seniors and we are especially excited about a ladies burlesque class that we are going to run for mature ladies beginning in April, with instructor Kat Salvador.
Recently we held our Directors' Giving Circle Appreciation Event at the home of Board Member David McFadden. This was an evening to thank those who donate $1000+ in a year. We appreciate these folks so much but please remember that every amount helps us to do what we do!
I know I have recently been asking for "porches" for our Porchside Festival to be performed on. Now I am really working on this and so if you have a porch for us to consider please email me HERE. Ideally, I am looking for historic homes in Collingwood with porches, and the ability to have 60-100 people seated in the yards. However, I am open to all suggestions for consideration. The commitment is for 2 days in July. Thank you for considering this.
For this years Summer Theatre program, we are "bringing it home" by staging most performances at the Simcoe Street Theatre, making it easy for you to dine pre-show in our local restaurants and not have to travel far to be entertained. Accessibility will continue to be a priority.
What we do at Theatre Collingwood is really about bringing people together to tell stories in different ways. At the heart of it all, we are about enriching lives in a positive and entertaining way. I would like to take this time to thank our dedicated Board Members, our volunteers, all of our staff, and most of all, YOU! Together, we create the magic!

We will travel to a private location where we will snowshoe along a pathway into a forest. Upon reaching the cabin in the deep woods, we will leave the path behind and blaze our own. A real experience of the power of snowshoeing and fresh winter air!
