December 3rd 2025

Join us for Blue Christmas on Wednesday, December 3rd. We'll have a casserole pitch-in at 6pm. Bring a casserole of any kind, and stay for worship at 7pm. This worship is especially for those who are seeking extra comfort and a place to lament during this season.

ACC Staff Love Gift

A special tradition here at ACC is the giving of a Love Gift to each of our staff members at Christmastime. This token of appreciation is a visible expression of our love and appreciation for all these servants do for us, for our church, and for our community, each and every day. This includes our ministers, music leaders and performers, sound technicians, administrative personnel, and child caregivers. Please join me in making a generous contribution to our Staff Love Gifts for 2025.

Below is how you can give:

1. Online at Allisonville.org/give and designate it as “Staff Love Gift”

2. Place your gift in the offering plate, making note that it is for “Staff Love Gift”

3. Mail your check to ACC, at 7701 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250,

making sure to write “Staff Love Gift” in the memo line

Please see that your gifts arrive to the church no later than December 7, 2025. Thank you for your consideration of this appreciation for our beloved Staff.

With love in Christ,

Ginny Campbell

ACC Council Chair

It's time again for ACC's annual Cookie Walk! Join us on Saturday, December 13 at 9am - cookies are $15 a box! Arrive early - we usually sell out by 10am. All proceeds go to our Outreach.

If you'd like to get involved in the Cookie Walk, we'll have a table in the narthex on December 7 for all bakers and volunteers. Contact Sue York with questions. You can also sign up to bake or volunteer here.

The Giving Tree is Back!

Beginning Sunday, November 30, a special Christmas tree will be inside Door #2. We will decorate it with your donations of gloves, mittens, scarves, hats and socks. After Christmas, all items will be sorted and

donated to several organizations such as Coburn Place, Family Promise and Washington Township schools. Thank you in advance for your gifts that will help children keep warm this winter!

Budget Information Session - THIS Sunday (12/7)

Our stewardship committee has assembled the 2026 budget proposal that will be considered by the church council on December 10th (see details below).

Like last year, we will be holding information sessions led by our stewardship co-chairs for those ACC members interested in understanding what's included in this year's budget.

Those will be happening THIS Sunday at 11 am in the Casa Room and at noon in the Chalice Room. You are welcome to join either conversation.

Joys and Concerns

JOYS

  • On Thanksgiving, we fed over 100 people at our community meal. Thanks to everyone who organized, volunteered, and prayed over this event.
  • You’ll notice that our sanctuary and building have been decorated for the season. Despite the weather, we had about 20 ACC members who made that happen and we are grateful to them.
  • We rejoice with the Caress family, who got to see Kyle make his debut on Broadway in The Great Gatsby.

CONCERNS

  • We pray with Janet Spaulding, who had a successful medical procedure last week and is now recuperating.
  • We pray for Jim Powell and his recovery, as well as for Peggy and the entire family as they support Jim in his healing.
  • We lift up Pat Shockley, mom to Doug Shockley and Diane Spleth, as she is back in the hospital.
  • We pray with Jane Gradison, who is recovering after a fall.
  • We continue to pray for those in our church family with physical, mental health, and financial concerns. We specifically want to lift up Don Burrell, Jerry & Sandy Zimmerman, Vernon & Elaine Scott, Joyce Jones, Karen Bayne, and Robert Keltner.
  • Our Global Ministries prayer partner this week is Indonesia.
