New Elected Leaders of the Student Group
The Haffenreffer Museum Student Group (HMSG) has elected two new leaders, Bella Cavicchi and Melissa Alvarez, for the 2018-2019 Academic Year.
Bella Cavicchi is a sophomore planning to study theatre and education, with a particular interest in how the fields intersect via arts engagement and community outreach. She is excited to be one of two student leaders of the Haffenreffer Museum Student Group, as she loves connecting with others who enjoy visiting and discussing museums as much as she does!
Melissa Alvarez is a sophomore from Los Angeles and is interested in art history and cultural anthropology. She is interested in how museums preserve cultures through art and how, as institutions, they can work with the larger public to encourage community engagement. And fun fact: if she had to choose a favorite art historical period it would either be Northern Renaissance or Romanticism!
