What's New

Welcome to Lamont Hollins, Sr.

Greetings,

My name is Lamont S. Hollins Sr., and I am currently a student at Christian Theological Seminary. I received my bachelor's degree in religious studies in December of 2022 from Indiana University - Purdue University at Indianapolis. I have a passion to help, teach, encourage, and equip believers and those I have encountered throughout my life.

I recognized my call to ministry in 1995, and in 2021 I began pursing my call to be a Senior Pastor. Before answering my call to the ministry, I was a professional mentor that worked with at-risk youth and families.

I am a husband and father of 8 (2 girls 6 boys) ages 9-30. I have a passion for coaching football and have been coaching for the last 4 years. I am the head coach and assistant coach to our youngest 2 sons' football teams.

I believe everyone has a password that will unlock their true potential whether it is in sports, education, or Church.

My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." My journey through life has not been easy and has been filled with heartache, trials, tribulations, successes, immense joy, and failures along the way. My journey through life has taught me that God's presence has always been in my life and has been constantly preparing me for me to walk into my calling to help bring unity to all who believe in God.

I am excited to be here at ACC as a student minister/Pastor for the next year. I hope through our journey that we can be able to help each other unbox God and present a a deeper understanding of God that will allow us to be a positive impact on each other and the community. I try to attack each day with one goal and that is to make someone's life easier. I pray God will use me to help you grow as well as use each one of you to help me grow!

My family and I look forward to meeting each one of you and serving beside you.

May God bless and keep each one of you,

Lamont Hollins Sr., and family

  • We pray for Isaac as he settles in following his move to Illinois, and celebrate the time that he’s had with us at ACC.

Concerns:

  • Jane Gradison is recovering from a seizure-related hospitalization.
  • Jerri Learner is recovering at home following a total knee replacement.
  • Dr. Nic Steussy, spouse of Dr. Marti Steussy, passed away suddenly last week. His obituary can be found here. Messages of sympathy may be sent to Dr. Marti Steussy, 5318 Graceland Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46208 or msteussy@cts.edu.

We pray, as we do each week, for lasting peace and justice throughout our war torn world, for all who are suffering and grieving, for a meaningful and lasting end to gun violence in our city and around the world, and for our work to become an anti-racist people and society.

We continue to pray for our work and all work to be an anti-racist church and people.

Family Promise Opportunity

ACC will be responsible for collecting housewares to furnish an apartment in September. You can sign up to donate by clicking on the attached list. You will need to bring the items to ACC on Saturday, September 28 between 9:00 AM and noon. Bring them to Door 2 (Southex). Linda Belding and I (Sherilee McLain) will be there to greet you.

Once the items are all collected, I will contact Family Promise, and we will need volunteers to take them down to the Family Promise Day Center. They will be stored there until an apartment is ready to be setup. The staff will contact me, and we will need to get a team of volunteers together to set up the apartment. Thank you for your generosity.
