Yom Kippur

Rabbi's Reflections

-A Short Vort for Yom Kippur: Finding a New Way-

Once, a man was wandering for several days through a forest and did not know which way was correct. Suddenly, he saw a man coming to greet him. The lost man was overcome with joy. “Surely, now I will know the correct path!” When they met each other, he asked the man, “My brother! Tell me, which is the correct way? I have been wandering for several days.” He said to him, “My brother, I too do not know! I have also been wandering for several days.” And he said to him, “But this I can tell you, you should not go on the way I was going, for on that way one also wanders. So now, let us find a new way together.” So too it is with us all: There is one thing I can tell you…On the way we have all been going, we should no longer go, for on this way we wander. Rather, let us all now find a new way! (Darchei HaChaim

This Yom Kippur, let us keep seeking a new way, and as we do, let us join with one another and learn from each other’s journeys to help us avoid the paths we should not take. So, let’s challenge ourselves, let’s find a new way, and let’s do so together! Gamar Tov!

Kiddish sponsorship is a great way to honor a loved one's memory or celebrate a special occasion while also giving a little back to the community. Please note that there are only a couple of opportunities for sponsorship left this year.

It’s a great idea to reserve your special day while it is still available. If your date is not visible yet on the kiddush calendar, you can still email Beth and ask about reserving that date.

Thank you so much for your support of CTI’s kiddush program!
