Boss: Why are you so late? Me: Sorry, my car would not start. Boss: That’s too bad, why wouldn’t it start?...

TCL was all over Lakeville!

We had so much fun watching all of the segments highlighting Lakeville last week – and to top it off – what an afternoon at Babe’s! Those TCLers really come out. It was standing room only for the live taping. If you want to watch the segments, including several of our members who were highlighted, click here: TCL In Your Town Archives - KSTP.com 5 Eyewitness News. We want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Tina Goodroad at the City of Lakeville for contacting Twin Cities Live to bring them here!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy 15-year anniversary to Ballet Royale and Twin Cities Ballet! It was fun to watch a small part of their rehearsal for their upcoming show, Romeo & Juliet: The Rock Ballet (performing at the Fitzgerald Theater in March). Twin Cities Ballet is a top professional ballet company in the state and they are located and rehearse right here in Lakeville – next to Sterling State Bank. Thank you to Denise and Rick for continuing to make Lakeville your studio home. Oh yeah…get your Romeo & Juliet tickets today!

Photos to come!

What an incredible evening at our 2025 Annual Dinner & Awards Celebration! Not only did we celebrate this year's honorees but we had 15 years’ worth of past Businesspersons of the Year in the room – so impressive. Thank you to all who made it possible. Click the sponsor image to see the full program and watch for photos next week.

A huge shout out to our emcees for the evening - outgoing Board Chair, Brady Folkestad of Lakeview Bank and incoming Board Chair, Matthew Schaap of Dougherty, Molenda, Solfest, Hills & Bauer P.A..

Although the lawyer/banker jokes were bad, the rest of the evening was great! I leave you with one of them...

What's the difference between a lawyer and a banker...

....Bankers know they are boring.

And right back at it this morning....

(LtR: Councilmembers Dan Wolter and John Bermel, Met Council Representative Wendy Wulff, Representative Jon Koznick, County Commissioner Mary Liz Holberg, Senator Zach Duckworth, Representative Jeff Witte)

Our Lakeville delegation - all of whom were at the Annual Dinner last night by the way - were up and at the Western Service Center bright and early this morning for the Dakota County 2025 Legislative Priorities discussion. We discussed social districts, I-35/50 Interchange, transportation, and more.

If our work in advocacy & access is of interest to you, you can hear from and/or talk to many of these folks on a monthly basis in our Access & Issues Zoom meeting. It takes place the second Friday of each month at 8am, via Zoom. Email me for the link!
