We are All Saints

Sometimes we think that people can't be saints until after they die or unless they are better or nicer than other people. In Sunday's good news Jesus bible story, we learned that a saint is anyone and everyone who God chooses to bless the world through, which means that we can be saints without even knowing it. Because it can be difficult and a little uncomfortable for us to believe we are all saints, we had a mirror to see ourselves as saints coming forward to light saints candles and to receive communion.

Pentecost 24

#heresthebridegroom

In Sunday’s Old Testament reading, the prophet Amos calls for justice to roll down like waters. In the Gospel reading, Jesus tells the parable of the wise and foolish bridesmaids. Surrounded by the faithful of every time and place, we celebrate Christ’s coming in our midst in the word of life and the feast of victory—the marriage feast of the Lamb.
