Early this spring, the Church Council began talking about ways St. Matthew's can start to do some things differently to thrive and become relevant, relatable, responsible and refreshing in today's world. In response, council members planted some seeds in pots to represent various ideas discussed during the retreat. The seeds sprouted and grew and are now starting to bloom! In a similar way, some of the ideas initially discussed by the Church Council are beginning to sprout and grow, an example being the kick-off last week of 2 new task forces: 'Community Engagement' and 'Growing Younger.' |
