Despite the challenges presented by the ongoing pandemic, the Faculty of Arts and Science enjoyed a historic year. Celebrate a year of success with the 2020-2021 Annual Review.

More information, as well as last years edition, can be found on our website.

If you are taking any courses on campus, you will be writing all final proctored exams, including remote and online course exams, in Kingston. This means you will write proctored exams in only one format: in-person in an exam hall (if you have at least one on-campus course), or online (if you are taking no on-campus courses). Only students doing all courses online (-700 section) or remotely are eligible to write their exams remotely. You should not make any end-of-term travel plans until you have reviewed the exam schedule which is released in mid-October.

If you have any questions regarding your exams, contact exams@queensu.ca.

Starting Friday, October 1, Academic Consideration Office Hours will be hosted via Zoom on Tuesdays (2 – 3:30pm) and Thursdays (10:30 am - noon). Join us on Zoom. You do not need to use your video to attend the Zoom call. Office hours will take place privately with each student. When you arrive, you will be put in the waiting room until the student ahead of you is finished.

Students completing their final courses in Summer 2021 have until Saturday, October 30 to apply to graduate. More information can be found in the step by step guide.

To see if you are on track to graduate, you can run your own Academic Requirements Report via SOLUS. Find instructions on how to run and read your report on our Academic Requirements Reports webpage.

Need a double-check? We now have a handy tool to help with this inquiry. You can submit a Degree Check request online and you'll receive a degree audit by email. Please allow up to a week for a response.

You may only apply to graduate in the program/plan in which you are currently registered. If you require a change to your program and/or plan, please contact asc.degree@queensu.ca. This includes the addition or deletion of a Minor.

Join our student ambassador team. In this paid position (approximately three to five hours per week) you’ll help prospective and incoming students by speaking with them about your Queen’s experience and answering their questions. You’ll engage in one-on-one virtual meetings with students as well as participate in Faculty presentations and panels throughout the year.

Learn more about the position and apply on the MyCareer website. The application deadline is Friday, October 22.

The Bartlett Student Initiatives Fund supports student participation in projects devoted to the principles of personal growth and community service. Projects should provide educational opportunities such as participation in exchanges, competitions, internships, symposia, conferences, and seminars.

Submissions will be reviewed and considered through the Dean of Arts and Science Office – requests up to $16,000 will be considered.
