Look who has joined our team!

Welcome to Meira Claudia Keil

our Development & Administrative Associate.

Moving to Nyack as a tween, Meira attended Nyack Middle and High School. She then went to Ithaca College which spearheaded her activism and community work. After graduating, she lived and worked in New York City holding roles within several non-profits and school-based positions focused on youth development and service-learning programming. Meira draws from her life experience and work experience within the U.S and globally to improve the scope, intention and impact of advocacy work. She is thrilled to be part of the Nyack Center family and reconnect with her hometown!

A Piano for Nyack Center!

We are so thrilled to be the proud new owners of this beauty, a Boston piano. We are grateful to our generous donors Ellen and Terry McCabe for this incredible gift. Thank you to Chris Yates and Rivertown Music for shepherding the project. Rivertown Music is fundraising to purchase a cover, a piano dolly, a keyboard lock as well as support to help defray the cost of transport. Please donate below to support our piano. We look forward to many concerts and opportunities to enjoy the beautiful sound of the piano in our Auditorium space!

OUR MISSION

Founded in 1990 by a group of concerned citizens, the Nyack Center is housed in a renovated historic church in the heart of Nyack, NY. We are dedicated to antiracist action and committed to work to dismantle all forms of oppression. We learn and grow through our differences as we seek a more compassionate society together.
