A NOTE FROM PASTOR SETH
"My found it!"
-Cooper (age 2), and Jesus (Matthew 15:1-10)
Cooper got a new toy for his birthday...the type of toy that is super fun for kids because it has tiny removable parts...and is super frustrating for parents because it has tiny removable parts.
As you can imagine, we recently found ourselves in search of a little red plastic screw, and it was a BIG deal. The living room was turned upside down within minutes of the fateful discovery - no toy, blanket, pillow, or slumbering pet was safe.
Then suddenly, amidst the frenzied search, a memory dawned on him from days before: there was a screw in the car! In a flash he was at the door:
"Daddy, come on. Shoes on. Outside. Come on! "
Lo and behold, in the garbage pocket of the door of the car, we found. the. little. red. plastic. screw.
"My found it! My found it! MY FOUND IT!"
Beloved, never forget that you were once the missing piece to God's plan. That, when he found you, he shouted his elation above all of Creation. And today, when you look at your neighbor who is still lost in the garbage pocket, try to imagine the soon-to-be shouts of joy when your Father finds them too.
