Event Spotlight: Churchwide Assembly

God's Work. Our Hands.
Each congregation chooses ways to engage the community as part of "God's Work Our Hands" Sunday. This year the ELCA suggests September 8 as the common Sunday for events.
The ELCA is guided by life in Christ to share the love of Jesus and serve the neighbor. On "God's work. Our hands." Sunday, congregants join together as one church to help restore and reconcile communities in Jesus' name.
"Every year, on the last weekend of July, my family travels down to Winnebago, Nebraska, for the annual Homecoming Pow Wow. I’ve recently returned from this 153-year-old Pow Wow, which is a celebration of the return of Chief Little Priest, the last great war chief of the Winnebago (or Ho-Chunk)."
