Attendee fees at the Mega-Conference will increase on Monday. Register today to take advantage of the lowest conference fees. Registration fees for newspaper attendees have been kept as low as possible to ensure that executives from newspapers of all sizes will be able to attend.

Calkins Media for its 24-hour video stream that's available through apps for IOS and Android, devices such as Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV, and the Courier Times website.

The Forsyth County News (Cumming, Ga.) for the impressive way this once "wildly traditional" paper became proactive in the way it pushed content to readers, and then saw its audience double and then triple.
Entries are due by Feb. 25
The sixth Mega-Innovation Award will be presented in April at the Mega-Conference. We encourage your newspaper or corporate office to submit an entry.

Previous recipients have been very small newspapers, as well as larger papers and corporate offices.

There is no cost to enter and no official entry form. Just email us ... or send us a Word document ... or a video entry, etc. — whatever you find to be the best way for you to describe your best innovation of 2021.

Simply tell your success story and share your results with us. Your company might be recognized as the next Mega-Innovation Award recipient.

The Mega-Conference registration fee will be waived for one representative from each finalist company, so the entry can be presented at Mega.

The GRAND PRIZE winner also will receive: A beautiful engraved award, a cash prize of $500 and recognition for the great work that you and your company are doing!

Applications now being accepted for Minority Fellowship Opportunity at Mega-Conference
Fellowship covers registration to Mega-Conference and up to $1,000 in expenses
America's Newspapers and the SNPA Foundation are inviting nominations for a new Minority Fellowship opportunity designed to bolster racial diversity and increase engagement by minority employees at newspapers.

This opportunity has been developed for publishers, senior managers and emerging managers of color to attend the 2022 Mega-Conference in Orlando, Florida, April 10-12.

The deadline for applications is Feb. 28. Ten minority fellowships will be awarded.

Star Tribune Media Co. has named Suki Dardarian its new editor and senior vice president. In this new role, she will lead all aspects of the Star Tribune’s newsroom, Minnesota’s largest newsgathering and reporting operation, featuring more than 230 full-time journalists who deliver local and national news and features content across all platforms.

Rene Sanchez, a Louisiana native and award-winning journalist, will be the next editor of The Times-Picayune, The Advocate and NOLA.com.

AP names 2 directors for newsroom talent
In a memo to editorial staff, Executive Editor Julie Pace announced two key appointments. Karen Mahabir becomes director of news talent for development and Corinne Chin is the new director of news talent for recruitment.
