April 10 One Stop Community Christmas meeting at the Salvation Army, noon

  • Its not to early to get involved in making this Christmas event happen to benefit families in our area.


April 11 Mattoon Eagles Club Annual Glo Bingo Fundraiser, 7pm

  • Join GLO BINGO on Friday, April 11 at Mattoon Eagles for a night of high-energy bingo with over $1,000 in cash prizes. Doors open at 6 PM, bingo at 7 PM, with tickets available for $25 in advance or $30 at the door (must be 18 or older to attend). Ticket include six bingo cards for 10 games, a glow hat, and a dauber, with additional cards available for purchase.


April 11 Crusin' Downtown Mattoon 6-10pm

  • Hang out with the cool kids in Downtown Mattoon this Friday night. Food trucks will be onsite. All vehicles welcome to this free event.


April 12 Mattoon Artisan Fair in Heritage Park

  • The Mattoon Made Artisan Fair, hosted by the Mattoon Arts Council, celebrates local creativity with a variety of Artisan Vendors offering handmade and homegrown treasures. Enjoy live music, food and drink vendors, and much more at this exciting event. It's a great opportunity to support local talent and explore unique finds in a vibrant community atmosphere. Don't miss out on a day of fun, creativity, and great shopping!  Event is free and open to the public.


April 12 Community Egg Hunt hosted by the Family Worship Center and held at the Cross County Mall, Rural King Event Center, 10 AM, ages 0-10. This event is free and open to the public.



April 12 Camp New Hope Easter Egg Hunt 2-4pm

  • Meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs, play games and enjoy snacks at Camp New Hope. This free event is open to the public. For questions call 217-895-2341 or go online www.campnewhopeillinois.com.



April 12 Small Business Fest at Booth Library, EIU, 10am-5pm

  • Enjoy an exciting day of shopping, delicious food, and community fun at the Small Business Fest. This event is to shine and support EIU student entrepreneurs who have either just started their business journey or currently growing it. Over 40 vendors will be showcasing their unique products and services. From handmade goods to to creative creations, you'll find something for everyone. This event will be held outside of the Booth Library at Eastern Illinois University Campus


April 12-13 Mattoon Midwest Spring Shootout at Emerald Acres

  • Get ready for an action-packed weekend of basketball at Emerald Acres Sports Connection. The Mattoon Midwest Spring Shootout is bringing top competition to the court, offering teams a 3-game guarantee in a high-energy tournament atmosphere. April 15 Art Blooms in the Garden: World Art Day Competition at The Whiteside Garden 9am-3pm

  • World Art Day is April 15, and to celebrate this day, the Douglas-Hart Foundation hosts an annual art competition. This year's theme: Art Blooms in the Garden.
