College dining is no longer built around one place or a predictable sequence of meals.
Students move among dining halls, coffee shops, convenience stores, grab-and-go locations and off-campus options — often on schedules that do not align with traditional meal periods.
For food manufacturers, the opportunity goes beyond getting more products into the dining hall. It is understanding where new campus occasions are emerging, what operators need to serve them and which products and formats fit those needs.
Foodservice IP’s 2027 College & University Foodservice Study will examine how campus dining is evolving, including changing meal occasions, convenience and grab-and-go, operating and labor needs, menu opportunities and what operators are looking for from manufacturer partners.
We are currently inviting manufacturers to participate in the research.
