Art Print & Poster Sale at Teen Center
The Street Scene Teen Center hosts a poster and art print sale every year at the beginning of the fall UNC semester. The sale runs now until Friday, September 2. The teen center is located under the post office/courthouse at 179 E. Franklin Street. The sale features 1000's of art, photography, and music posters - great for the dorm room, class room or living room! A portion of the sales support the Street Scene Teen Center in providing a safe environment and arts programming for teens after-school and on the weekends.

Aladdin: The Musical at Memorial Hall Payal Dance Academy and UNC Sangam presents a musical, Indian version of Aladdin at Memorial Hall on Saturday, August 27 at 6:30PM. Town to Honor Social Justice Leaders
The Town of Chapel Hill will recognize unique individuals who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to furthering the causes of social justice on Sunday, August 28 from 3PM to 4PM at Peace and Justice Plaza in front of the Post Office-Courthouse, 179 E. Franklin St. The names of four local leaders - Yonni Chapman, Rebecca Clark, Rev. Charles M. Jones, and Dan Pollitt - will be added to a granite marker that pays tribute to their contributions. Sunday's ceremony will be opened by Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt, NC Senator Ellie Kinnaird and the Rev. William Barber, president of the NC NAACP. A reception is scheduled to follow the ceremony at FRANK Gallery, 109 E. Franklin St. The Rev. J.R. Manley of First Baptist Church will preside over the unveiling of the tribute marker. |

'The Serpent's Egg' Performance - Don't Miss It!

Sue�os Americanos/American Dreams Exhibit
Modern yet traditional, and deeply personal, the paintings of Cornelio Campos illustrate complex realities of migrant life that are often concealed. A Mexican-born artist now residing in the U.S., Campos shares emotions and explores contemporary political issues, such as immigration, the U.S.-Mexico border and cultural identity. The FedEx Global Education Center is exhibiting his work now until October 15.
