What to Expect at the 2024 Spring Forum

Registration is open for the Family Medicine Spring Forum 2024, April 5-7, at The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. The meeting will be held as a hybrid event, giving attendees the option to register for either traditional, In-Person attendance or remote, Virtual attendance, presented via live streaming. Earn up to 19.0 live CME credits. Educational content and available live CME credits will be exactly the same for both virtual and in-person attendees. CME hours obtained at an FAFP meeting (live or virtual), go towards the FL Chapter requirement (of 12 CME hours). For the CME agenda, click here.

The FAFP room rate is available until March 13, or until the room block is full. Parking: Attendees staying at the Signia by Hilton will receive a daily discounted rate of $18 for overnight self-parking. Optional overnight valet parking is available for $52 per day. Attendees who are staying off property will have the option to self-park for $36 per day or valet for $52 per day.

You will earn 10 certification points and 8 enduring (not live) CME credits after successful completion of each KSA; ABFM will award these certification points and enduring CME credits.

Capitol Update - Week 6

The legislature spent last week moving into the final phase of the legislative session with policy bills dominating legislative committees’ agendas hoping to receive their final committee hearing before being considered on the House and Senate floor. However, four of the five days included family physicians serving as Doctor's of the Day including FAFP Board members (Drs. Residents, New Physicians Can Apply for Well-being Conference Travel Scholarships

The AAFP will award 50 travel scholarships to residents and new physicians (those no more than seven years out of residency) to attend this year’s Physician Health and Well-being Conference May 6-8 in Scottsdale, Ariz. Scholarships of $500 and $1,000 are available to help reduce out-of-pocket conference expenses. The deadline to apply for the member-exclusive scholarships is March 1.
