2019 Club Projects

Lead by, the one and only, John McBeth from O&M Industries, our Eureka Teen Center Building Renovation project has gained lots of momentum! From windows and framing, painting and electrical, to heating and plumbing, flooring and even a new parking lot, our local business community has been extremely supportive in donating their precious time and in some cases materials too!
Our Clubhouse had a few touch ups last month by the Eureka Housing Authority and we are still looking to repaint the interior walls, replace the dirt/patches of grass with AstroTurf  or rubber matting.

In partnership with McKinleyville Community Service District, our McKinleyville Teen Center has a beautiful sound proof music room. We are looking to beef up our instrument collection and put in recording equipment, so that our youth can learn and enjoy making their own work of art.

If you are interested in helping with any of these projects, please contact our administrative office at (707) 441.1030.

Eureka Clubhouse
Youth of the Month

The Clubhouse Youth of the Month this month is Roberto Gomez. Roberto is seven years old and in the first grade at Alice Birney. While a fairly new member, Roberto has certainly shown how to be a true leader and a good friend, always encouraging the best out of others and himself. Roberto is an incredible participant in every activity we have and always does so with a good attitude. Way to go Roberto!

McKinleyville Teen Center
Program Director

My name is Andrea Jones and I'm your Program Director at the McKinleyville Teen Center. Here at the Teen Center I run several programs, SMART Girls, Triple Play, SAFE Zone, Art Club and I help with Power Hour. I was born in Madison, Wisconsin on November 4th, and one minute later my identical twin sister Alicia was right behind me! As a teen I struggled trying to stay out of trouble, but at the age of 15 I started really getting involved in the local Boys & Girls Club. Although I, myself, was a teen going through multiple barriers, being a positive role model was the only thing I thought I was good at. A year later I was youngest Boys & Girls Club staff member, and further my career to be a positive role model. I eventually left the club and began working as a Youth Advocate at the School District to continue to serve those members along with new students for 10 years! I am a Boys & Girls Club alumnus and dedicate my hard work to the staff members that never gave up on me as I promise to never give up on  the teens that I help serve now.
