STATIC CONTROL FLOORING

What you need for ESD

At IPC Apex, SelecTech President Tom Ricciardelli was asked "how do you figure out what’s needed from an ESD standpoint". Tom’s response is below and you can hear the entire interview in the video (running time: 6 min.).

"It starts with how sensitive is your most sensitive chip that you might handle. That dictates the ESD grade you need and then really it comes down to functionality."

Why medical labs need ESD Reason 1:

Medical labs contain sensitive equipment, including microscopes, analyzers, and diagnostic machines. Static discharge can damage this equipment, causing false or inaccurate results. So protecting equipment is paramount. ESD flooring dissipates the static electricity generated by workers moving around the lab, preventing it from damaging the equipment.
