Here are 3 things to know about the labour market in 2017
There were around 32,000 jobs gained from 2016 to 2017, mostly in sales and service
The job with the most online job postings was transport truck drivers
The unemployment rate remained consistently low in the last two quarters

Kelsey's was the winner of a free booth at the Connect to Careers Job Fair on February 1/18.

Thanks to all the employers who completed the Employer One Survey this year and to our many partners.
With their help we had 280 employers complete the survey, which is an impressive increase over last year's results.
Look for a report on the results of the survey in mid-March.
Not-for-profit employers can apply for the 2018 Summer Experience Program
The Summer Experience Program provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, Indigenous organizations and First Nation communities, to create career-related summer employment opportunities for students.
SEP positions must focus on activities supporting key sectors within the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Ministry of the Status of Women and Ministry of Seniors Affairs, including citizenship, voluntarism, seniors, women, tourism, culture, sport and recreation.
The deadline to apply for the 2018 Summer Experience Program is Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
