CBEST Preparation Workshop

Saturday, January 25th – 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Child Development Center (CDC), Room 100 (Gavilan College)

The CBEST Test is required for anyone who wants to be a teacher, and most teaching credential programs require that the test be passed prior to entering the credential program.

If you are thinking of becoming a K-12 teacher, even if you have not transferred or finished your bachelor’s degree, now is a great time to prepare and plan for the test. Some teaching credential programs require students to pass CBEST before entering.

The CBEST prep workshop will:
  • Describe the CBEST Test and how it is organized: what happens on testing day? How can you prepare?
  • Explain how to create strategies for effective time management, answering questions, and navigating the test.
  • Give opportunities to practice the three sections of the test: Math, Reading, and Writing.

If you have questions or trouble filling out the form, contact Mary Soltis at masoltis@cabrillo.edu .
