$20,000 UCSC Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Scholarship
The University of California, Santa Cruz, Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Program helps community college transfer students to complete their undergraduate studies at UC Santa Cruz.

The program provides a scholarship of up to $20,000 distributed over two years, mentoring and academic support, and assistance in finding paid or volunteer summer work experience. Recipients will be selected by the chancellor of UCSC from candidates submitted by the presidents of participating community colleges.

Apply by February 7

If you have already applied to transfer to UCSC for Fall 2021:
  • Contact the Financial Aid Office to request an application for the Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Program scholarship or see links below.
  • Apply for financial aid by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application by March 2, 2020.
