2025 Wheeler Leadership Development Program Graduation

After six months of leadership training, personalized coaching, and mentorship from Wheeler’s executive team, the fourth cohort of the Leadership Development Program was celebrated for their dedication and accomplishments. As part of their graduation ceremony, participants presented project proposals to senior leadership and peers, showcasing their growth and innovative ideas.

Requests for Holiday Help Have Quadrupled

We talked with CT Live's host, Abbey Carnivale, about the beauty of philanthropy, the dramatic increase in requests for holiday assistance this year (400 compared to just over 100 last year), and how people can help. Look for it to air on November 25.

Amazon Donates Toys for Children in Our Care

And the holiday season starts for our Marketing Communications and Philanthropic Giving team! They were joined by Wheeler Trustee Myron Stewart, MBA, rocked some antlers, and met up with our friends at Amazon, who provided more than 30 boxes of toys for children we care for. Hundreds of kids will have a great holiday thanks to Amazon's support. We have a beyond-record number of requests this year.

Connecticut Foodshare Mobile Pantry in New Britain

Winds were cold, the line was long, but our Health Ambassadors from Mott were warm hearts at the November 14th mobile pantry distribution in New Britain. We served over 200 people! In October, we experienced a 37% increase over normal! Below is our next event happening in New Britain:

Christina Perez, LMFT, Integrated Care Supervisor, Receives Wheeler’s 3rd Annual Integrity & Ethics Award

Christina Perez, integrated care supervisor at Wheeler’s New Britain Family Health & Wellness Center, is the recipient of Wheeler’s third annual Integrity & Ethics Award. Christina was nominated by her peers at Wheeler as part of the 2025 Health Care Compliance Association’s Corporate Compliance & Ethics week, November 2 through 8. She was selected from a field of 15.

On-Site Training Room at One Hope Street

We recently opened registration for our new Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills validation room at the Bristol Family Health & Wellness Center—made possible through a generous donation from Code One Training Solutions. This on-site training space provides qualified Wheeler staff with a convenient way to renew their CPR and/or BLS certifications virtually.
