AMETEK MRO Asia appointed by Honeywell as an authorised repair centre for Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems

AMETEK MRO Asia has been announced as a Honeywell Authorised Repair Centre (ARC) for Traffic Collison Avoidance Systems (TCAS). This equipment detects aircraft at various degrees of proximity and will alert the cockpit when other aircraft breach separation requirements.

The ten-year agreement will be for TPA100 series fitted to A320, A330, A340, B737, B737NG, B737MAX, B747, B757, B767 and B777 aircraft and covers full test and repair capability for these Honeywell products enabling AMETEK MRO Asia to provide customer support worldwide.

AAR awarded five-year contract to perform airframe maintenance for U.S. Navy’s P-8A Poseidon fleet

AAR CORP. (NYSE: AIR), a leading provider of aviation services to commercial and government operators, MROs, and OEMs, has been awarded a five-year indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract with an aggregate ceiling value of approximately $1.2 billion by the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to perform P-8A Poseidon depot airframe maintenance and depot field team support for the U.S. Navy, government of Australia, and foreign military sales (FMS) customers.

This follow-on contract continues AAR’s strategic partnership supporting NAVAIR. AAR will provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, in-service repair, technical directive incorporation, airframe modifications, and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) support.

Drayton Aerospace acquires ATR72-500 for teardown

Drayton Aerospace has announced the acquisition of an ATR72-500 to drive growth in their aircraft and parts trading business unit.

Drayton will manage the teardown of the aircraft with disassembly scheduled to begin in September 2024, and is expected to drive further growth of its parts trading business and asset management activities within the group as well as in the commercial marketplace.

“While this new asset allows us to realize maximum value in the market as it strengthens our ever-growing parts trading business," says Steven Pearson CEO of Drayton Composites and Aircraft Trading.
