From the President
Last week I was part of a twenty-four member delegation to Washington D.C. for the semi-annual Denton County "Fly-In."

Congressman Burgess led our delegation, which included meetings with:

Congressman Mac Thornberry, 13th Texas Congressional District
Steve Scalise, House Majority Whip
Senator John Cornyn, U.S. Senator (Texas)
Cathy McMorris Rodgers, the top-ranking female in the House
Stephen Cole, Deputy Staff Director of House Committee on Rules
Kevin McCarthy, House Majority Leader

We also met with:
Blair Anderson, Former Congressmen and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Deputy Directory
Maureen K. Ohlhausen, FTC Commissioner
Meredith French, National Chamber of Commerce Director of Political Affairs & Federation Relations
Raymond Towle, VP of Federation Relations
Bradley Hayes, Cybersecurity Policy Director
J. D. Foster, VP of Budget & Tax Policy and Deputy Chief Economist

We were treated to an extensive VIP tour of the Lee Mansion, which included a second floor tour that is closed to routine visitors. We experienced the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, toured the Centennial Headquarters, and much more.

Thank you to Congressman Burgess for leading our delegation, which represented cities and chambers in Denton County. With his help we were able to discuss issues that are important to our members with national leaders.
