July 22, 2020

Dear students,

As President Hogle and Dean Bundra shared with you on July 14 , CIM will be conducting a COVID-19 testing program for students, with assistance from our partners at University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University. To help determine the dates and times that testing will be available, it is critically important that you inform CIM of the date that you will arrive in Cleveland, if you are already in town or if you are studying remotely. Regardless of where you will be living or studying this fall, all students must complete this form by Friday, July 24. Your quick response is appreciated.

One important change: We had planned to allow students access to the building for personal practice beginning Monday, July 27. With this testing protocol, you will not be able to access the main building until you have a verified negative test result from our testing partners . Current test result turn-around times are 24-48 hours. We do expect to begin testing on Monday, and are working with our partners to understand how many tests can be performed each day. As soon as testing dates and procedures are set, I’ll share that information with you.

I know that you are receiving numerous emails with updates and other requests this week and appreciate your attention to this very important deadline for information. Thank you for filling out the form by Friday, July 24, and please continue to monitor your cim.edu email inboxes for updates on COVID-19 testing and other topics.

Gratefully,

Maddi Tolliver
Senior Director, Artistic and Facilities Operations
