5 Ways to Tap into Creativity in Sobriety
Inebriation not necessary.
Sobriety gave me my inner artist back. It was through recovery and living a sober, healthy life that I was able to reconnect with my creative side. It wasn’t until I put the drink down and picked up the tools of recovery and self-care that I started living the creative life I’d always wanted to have.

Are you anxious? Here's the 4-2-5
Kristen Harper, SRC's Peer Coach Supervisor and Certified Mindfulness Specialist suggests "when in doubt, breathe out!"

Breathe in for a count of 4, hold for 2, then out for 5. Change these numbers to match your own comfort level of breathing, making sure the out breath is longer.

Springs Recovery Connection Impact
In 2019, our Telephone Recovery Support (TRS) provided support to 2,802 families and individuals looking for recovery resources.

Our TRS Program provides:

  • Assistance in daily recovery management
  • Social and emotional support
  • Links to clinical care and community resources
  • Ongoing support extended over time

Recovery Hero: Leon Stewart
Because of recovery, today I have the opportunity to inspire, encourage others, and work with people who suffer from substance use disorders. I'm a member of the Black Advisory Council through the El Pomar Foundation. I'm a Recovery Support Specialist at Memorial Hospital and a Peer Recovery Coach at Springs Recovery Connection. Without Springs Recovery Connection, the team of volunteers, coaches, trainers, board members and most importantly the founder of this organization Cathy Plush, my life would be different.

Never Underestimate the Power of a Recovery Coach.
Springs Recovery Connection envisions a community that understands, supports, and embraces recovery from addiction. Your donation keeps the phone lines open for individuals and families who want a different way of life, free from substance use disorder.
