How anti-seize lubricants with nickel differ from others and when to use
When to Use Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricants
With the various anti-seize lubricants, how do you decide when to use one with a nickel compound, such as L6760 NICKEL LUBE Anti-Seize?
Some key features of nickel anti-seize lubricants include:
High Temperature Resistance. Anti-seize products containing nickel withstand extremely high temperatures, making them ideal for applications where there is extreme heat. Nickel Lube withstands temperatures up to 2600°F as well as extreme pressures.
Stainless steel compatibility:Because nickel lubricants do not contain copper, they are preferred for use with stainless steel and, of course, nickel. Nickel Lube can also be used with titanium, aluminum, copper, brass and other alloys.
Protects against Corrosion: Formulations should protect the parts from rust and corrosion. Nickel Lube seals out moisture, gases and corrosive fluids from metal surfaces and threaded parts.
Nickel anti-seize lubricants should be used when copper contamination must be avoided and where dissimilar metals are used together. It is excellent for equipment that is exposed to salt water spray, highly corrosive environments or equipment that is frequently steam cleaned.
Other applications include furnaces, high-pressure flange bolts, crane gears, chemical tanks and refinery pipeline fasteners.
