We're excited to see you!

Welcome Back

Our quarterly newsletter has made it to 2023 and we're happy to bring you many exciting

updates as well as inform you of what is to come! Fun fact, this newsletter makes #29 in

10 years! We created this resource in 2013 to share some insight about what is going on

with SouthFair and in South Dallas.

Our Annual Bowl & Brew is back.... with TWO dates! Save the dates:

May 11th

October 19th

PNC Bank is already a sponsor for the May 11th Bowl & Brew. Thanks PNC!

We need more sponsorship for both dates. If you are interested please email the Executive Director, Annie Evans, annie.evans@southfaircdc.org for more information.

Board Member Spotlight

Tim Scott

Photographer, videographer, and more, Tim Scott is an all around artist who currently sits on SouthFair's Advisory Board. His vision and willingness to bring projects to life has helped SouthFair tell our story on several occasions. Here's more about Tim!

Where born: Dallas, TX

Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food – Dakota’s Steakhouse, steak (bone in rib eye)

Family – Family is a huge part of my community. There's my wife of five years, Christian, and my immediate family.

Famous person you would most like to meet - Michael Jordan

Words that describe you best – Extrovert, artist

In your spare time you . . . – I really enjoy walking the city, that’s how you get to know the city. Everything gets renovated so easily so we’ll go downtown and walk around all day to see different stores and hotels.

If you’ve learned one thing in life, it is . . . – you cannot avoid suffering and change is inevitable, except for in a vending machine.

What are your hopes/desires for SouthFair and the South Dallas community?

I hope that SouthFair can gain more capital to acquire more land and develop more often for the benefit of the existing community.
