CHRISTIANA CARE LEVERAGES WEARABLES SO PATIENTS CAN BE HEALTHIER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE

A few months ago, an 81-year-old man walked out of his home to retrieve his mail when he collapsed from a heart arrhythmia. He fell on his driveway unconscious.

The watch then activated a 911 call and pinpointed to the man’s precise location by GPS. An ambulance was dispatched to his home, where paramedics found him still lying on the ground. Concurrently, his watch facilitated the notification of his daughter—his emergency contact—that he was being transported to the emergency department at Christiana Hospital.

President's Message
Sometimes an old narrative is hard to break. If you ask people about manufacturing in Delaware, they’d tell you it’s dead or was finished when General Motors and Chrysler exited. Fact of the matter is that manufacturing is alive and well in Delaware. Drive through any commercial or industrial park and you’ll find very little available space for rent. Our Delaware Manufacturing Association, an affiliate of the State Chamber, is healthy and growing. Read more >
