GC80 - RECAP VIDEO


As promised, here is the final report on the 80th General Convention of The Episcopal Church in Baltimore, Maryland. While The Rt. Rev. Gregory O. Brewer delivered daily video briefings from Baltimore during GC80, the diocesan team wanted to make sure that you heard from your diocesan deputation as well.


Having returned from four demanding days of responsibilities in Baltimore, deputation members from the Diocese of Central Florida gathered once more at the diocesan office in Orlando to record a video recap of their Convention efforts and experiences. This video is offered in lieu of an in-person Convention debriefing, providing an accessible and shareable report that features a summary of the work accomplished.

Parish Potluck

All are invited to gather for our Wednesday Potluck Dinner on August 3 at 5:30 pm. Join us for some good food and great fellowship! No sign-up necessary - Just bring a favorite main, side or dessert dish. At 6:15, Fr. Wes will lead us in a Bible discussion.

Caregivers Support Group

The Caregivers Support Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month (July 26), at 2 pm. If you are feeling weighed down by caregiving worries or concerns, connecting with other caregivers is great emotional support. Come share your practical advice on managing challenges in caregiver relationships. Ministry contact: Br. Rick Lorino, BSG

Health & Wellness Monthly Blood Pressure Screening

Come have your blood pressure checked by our Health & Wellness Team RN's on Sunday, July 31 after the 8 am and 10 am services. Education informational will be provided. Ministry contact: Sally Munson

Mark Your Calendars!

On Sunday, August 14, a new Sunday morning Christian Education class will start at 9-9:45 am in the Library. The series will start with an Inquirer's class for newcomers and all who are curious about our Episcopal faith. It will run through September 4th. Other programs on the Nicene Creed (Sept. 18-25), the Rise of Christianity (Oct. 23-30), & 1 and 2 Thessalonians (Nov. 13-20) will follow. Join us Sunday mornings for some new insights and thought-provoking discussion!
