New COVID Guidelines
The diocese has posted new COVID guidelines. There are really only two changes. I am pulling these lines directly from the document which you can see in its entirety at the link below.
- Masks are mandatory indoors (regardless of vaccination status) effective immediately and will remain in place until your county has less than 10% new case positivity.
- Social distancing has been proven to be less effective as a preventive measure than previously thought. There will be no mandatory distances set for indoor services.
I know that for some of you this is a scary time and this is welcome news. For others, this is frustrating and feels like a step backwards. It is important to remember what was uncomfortable for others when we opened up recently. No matter where you are on that scale, I hope that we can keep coming together to worship and grow in the Lord. While these decisions are out of our hands, we still have the ability to choose to make the best of this situation.
Keep praying for one another, for this church, the community, and the world. With God’s help we will come through this and be stronger for it in the end. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Fr. Wes

Pill Bottle Collection
Our parish will be collecting empty pill bottles of all types (prescription, vitamin, aspirin, etc.) to aid medical clinics in Haiti. A team from Missionary Flights International will clean the bottles and prepare them for shipment and use in Haiti. You do not have to remove labels. Just drop them in a basket in the church entryway. This is at no charge to our parish and is very beneficial to many in need. Bottles are sent to clinics for use in dispensing medications. Thank you for your generosity in this worthwhile project. Questions? Contact Gayle Twombly

Christmas Decoration Pickup
If your family members participated in the ornament making/decorating of the narthex tree OR the pageant, please pick up a packet on the welcome table in the narthex this Sunday. Sharing the Love!
St. Augustine of Canterbury continues to reach out in love to local teachers and healthcare workers by delivering "thank you" cards to those dedicated professionals committed to caring for our community. Most recently, we have delivered thank you messages to the faculty and staff of 4-5 schools, Indian River Medical Center and 100 thank you cards delivered to the Indian River Health Dept. Our goal is to collect 500 cards to deliver to local Hospice facilities. Join in on this outpouring of gratitude by writing your own personal message; thank you cards are available in the Parish Hall and Narthex after Sunday services.
