Hello Trio Family,
"Stumbling, bumbling, and flopping ever closer to the throne" is how a speaker described her Christian life.
Less than two months ago, Trio asked you to pray five minutes a week for a new church home more conducive to connections. God is answering that prayer drastically and disruptively, which is not what I hoped for, and so I hope I am at least stumbling, bumbling, and flopping towards the throne as we make these changes, since I do not feel like I am striding towards it. If you feel like that as it relates to your life, work, family, or our church, let's flop towards the throne together.
Due to Covid-19, Mora Schools are only allowing staff and students in the buildings, so for now, Trio cannot meet there. We were exploring options already, but none we've explored so far are ideal. Our church wants better connection options and therefore, for the immediate future we are going to move our worship services to the Trio Community Center. It is a smaller, more intimate venue with total flexibility on when and how we use it. It can provide a context where we can linger together, when lingering has been elusive at MES.
Beginning on Sunday, September 13, we will be meeting at 10:00am
on Sunday mornings for worship services at the Trio Community Center. (Address - 111 E Maple Ave, Mora)
Due to the space, we may not get everyone in the same room, we will try to offer social distancing, and we will ask those able to wear masks to do so (based on the governor's mandate).
We desire to offer more opportunities for interaction before, during, and after our worship services and will be varying our worship-service options. We encourage you to come a little earlier and hang-out a little longer following the services. We will be reincorporating coffee and refreshments into our services, with an emphasis on them following rather than preceding worship services.
We need your help, patience, and flexibility as we make these changes. It will take a while for us to learn what our best practices are, how we will manage kid ministries, and how we can maximize the space and options we have.
We welcome your input and ideas as we seek to make the best of our current reality. Thank you.
