NO ON 33 - GREAT NEW ARTICLE

Many of you have generously donated to help us fight against Prop. 33, which would destroy the rental industry in California, and we have continued to put up lawn signs and banners to get the word out.

Two long-term residents of Pasadena have written an opinion piece in Pasadena Now to help explain why Prop. 33 is so damaging. Please share it with your friends.

RENT BOARD'S UNACCOUNTED $425,000

The Rent Board was supposed to explain its no-bid contract with bhyv in its meeting this week. Instead, Chair Ryan Bell announced at the last moment that the item would not be heard. We have been told by a department official that byhv consulting "couldn't make the meeting".

Bell did not say if or when the contract would be reviewed, but we do know that there are no more Rent Board meetings until November.

If you think that the city has a right to know what happened to $425,000 of housing providers' money that was spend on bhyv's failure to meet its contractual deadlines, you can write to Pasadena City Council and ask when they are going to look into the contract that they expressed concerns about in July 2023.

You can remind them that the CEO of byhv was ineligible to practice law earlier this year, after failing to comply with regulations designed to safeguard client funds.

If you would like a NO on Prop. 33 yard sign, reply to this message with the property address and how many signs you would like and just like that, you will have your sign!

Thank you,
