Front Door Stories

Where did April go?

Next week is already May and the studio has been full of plants and flowers for weeks now inspiring spring! I think it worked!

Easter was later and the grass is now finally showing making for days full of garden visits, designing for upcoming garden renovations, and cleaning up from winter. My cheeks are sun kissed and my muscles are soar and it feels good!

The buds on the trees are exploding at the farm in Matlock. On earth day this year I took a bold leap and seeded some carrots, beets & some potatoes I had saved from last year. Fingers crossed! I also did some cold weather crops like french breakfast radish, kale, and lettuce hoping for some early edibles. I am craving some home grown anything!

As we move forward into planting season the studio will be filling up with exotic, unique plants and material for all your container garden needs and wants. Stop by anytime for a chat about whats to come, start planning your containers or pick something up for mom!

We are open between 1pm & 6pm Friday's or
Saturday's 11am & 3pm
every weekend to experience the scents of summer and
find treasures to bring into your home, office or gift giving.

Saturday May 4th the studio will be closed, we are taking a day off to be inspired by Thomas Hobbs at CMU
A presentation hosted by the Manitoba Master Gardeners Association
It is now sold out but we got tickets and this can not be missed!

Did you know?

We sell: organic compost

Starting next week we will be selling bags of locally produced organic compost that I trialed last year with tomato plants (photo showing difference in growth) the results where amazing. Add this to your planters or gardens and you will be adding live micronutrients to your soils so your plants will thrive all season long.

You can: pick your own organic herbs

I brought in some fresh herbs from Sage garden Herbs again this year and will be building my selection as the weather warms up. Your welcome to bring in your own pot or plant in our prepared galvanized buckets filled with organic compost. Pick your combo and add herb markers for fun! Great gift idea for Mom for mother day!
