Dr. Larry Cheek
Associational Missions Strategist
An old adage is “you can’t know where you are going, unless you know where you have been!” Our Association of Churches began a process of strategic planning in January of this year. Three sessions have been conducted with our key leaders, Administrative Team, officers and staff. A summary of that work can be found on here on our blog site. CLICK HERE I want to encourage you to take a moment and review the work of these faithful people.
Our intention from this process was to discover one BHAG ( B ig H airy A udacious G oal) that we can rally behind and that will propel us forward to reduce lostness in our geography for the next 3 to 5 years.
Here’s the outcome…. “Stone Mountain Baptist association exists to strengthen churches to partner together to ignite a spiritual awakening in East Metro Atlanta."
We want your input! I will be conducting listening sessions over the summer with our staff and key leaders. In addition we will be discussing this at our upcoming Minister Roundtables.
Be thinking about how you believe God would want us to complete our task! Send me your thoughts!  Call me at 770-483-2776 or email me at [email protected]
