Consider Applying for the 2025 CSG West Vice Chair Position

The CSG West Nominating Committee will be interviewing candidates for the position of 2025 CSG West Vice Chair. Based on the bipartisan rotation, the Nominating Committee will consider Democratic candidates for this position, which will succeed to the role of chair in 2027.


Interested and eligible members of the CSG West Executive Committee are encouraged to apply. The 2025 Vice Chair application and associated instructions are available here. Please note, the deadline for completed applications is Tuesday, June 25.

Responding to the FY 2024 Connect and Protect (C & P) Solicitation

March 19, 2024

This grant program provides an anticipated 25 awards in the amount of $550,000 each to city or township governments, county governments, federally recognized Native American Tribal governments, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, state governments, and mental health agencies for a 36-month project. This project helps entities prepare, create, or expand comprehensive plans to implement collaborative programs for preliminarily qualified people who have come into contact with the criminal justice system and promote public safety and outcomes for people with mental health disorders and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Responding to the FY 2024 Connect and Protect (C & P) Solicitation

This grant program provides an anticipated 19 awards in the amount of $550,000 each to city or township governments, county governments, federally recognized Native American Tribal governments, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, state governments, and mental health agencies for a 36-month project. The C & P program supports law enforcement-behavioral health cross-system collaboration to plan, implement, or expand response initiatives that target preliminarily qualified people who have come into contact with law enforcement, who have mental health disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities and promotes improved public health and public safety.
